History

If we look in past, dentistry practices were there even in Egyptian times as archeologists have found traces of artificially implanted teeth in mummies. However, the archeologists are still in doubt if they (false teeth) were rooted during postmortem. To be more specific, dentistry was emanated in 1700s by Dr. Fauchard who is considered as the “father of modern dentistry”.

The journey of dentistry technology from 1700s to present-day has been amazing. Now, the colorless wooden made teeth set have been changed to natural looking teeth made up by plastic or porcelain. Originally, the fillings began with silver and gold and now, chemically bonded colored fillings are used by the dentist. Bridges that are use to replace teeth, were traditionally made by wires have now developed as natural looking tooth-colored tooth replacements that too without any metal.
